JET SET SNOW FREE FLYBALL TOURNAMENT – December 3RD & 4TH , 2011

WELCOME!! to Jet Set’s Snow Free Flyball Tournament.  75 teams are competing in one (1) two-day unlimited tournament with 34 Regular teams, 11 Multi-breed, 29 Open, and 1 Veteran teams in 2 rings. We will go over the traffic flow on entry and exit to the racing lanes at the captains meeting.  Please observe them to keep things flowing.  1st place thru 3rd place division winners will receive ribbons and prizes. Please sign up any dogs who earn NAFA titles during the weekend (and please only those that are earned at our tournament) on our posted sheets. Junior Handlers should also be entered on our poster to be recognized. We will be giving title ribbons to each dog who earned them at our tournament. Thanks for all of your entries – We look forward to some fantastic racing. The two rings will provide over 60 ft. of runback for each ring. We will need everyone’s help in keeping things moving in the lanes. You will find a seeding chart, format, and racing schedules for Saturday and Sunday, along with directions to the tournament site on our website http://www.jetsetflyball.com . If anyone has any suggestions or complaints, please see any Jet Set members for assistance.

The judges will be Denise Lacey and Scott Chamberlain.

Clean Break Flyball Club will be holding Single Dog Racing on Friday
evening, December 2nd, beginning at 6:00 PM. at the Jet Set Tournament.
You may register your dog(s) starting at 5:30 PM. Cost will be
$5/dog/run and each entry will consist of one practice run and three
timed runs with the lights available or any other lane work you wish to do within your allotted time. We’ll give you a certificate listing times for each dog that runs. Dogs participating in Single Dog
Racing do not need to have CRN’s so this is a chance to let your newbies
try their wings! We will have a flyball box available even if your box
hasn’t shown up yet!

NAFA C-2 score sheets will be filled out with race schedules pre-printed. They will consist of one double sided sheet for each team. If you are using stickers be sure to bring one for each side of the sheet. Please do not bring entire C-2 sheets unless your sheets have the races pre-printed along with left or right lane assignments. Also be aware that team lineups may be changed or a performance team may be declared up until the first race of their respective division has started. After a race has been run in a division no lineups may be changed for any reason in that division.

Scoring:

All divisions that are not 3 of 5 will score 1 point per heat won + 4 points for winning the race, 2 points for a tied race, 1/2 point for tied heats and 0 for a loss.

Divisions that are 3 of 5 format will be scored 1 point for the overall win. There will not be more than five heats run for each race. Ties for the overall win in 3 of 5 races will have each team awarded 1 point.

Ties for tournament placement will be decided by:

First- Fastest head to head time

Second- If still tied, fastest time in the division

Third- If still tied, a tie breaker race (2 of 3 heats)

Racing:

Single Schedule divided among two rings.

Teams will be assigned which ring they are racing in just prior to the end of the race ahead of yours.  Please be ready to race at least two races ahead of your race as things can move rather quickly if two rings finish at once.  Also, be sure to notify your box loader as to which ring you are in.

Remember- no warm-ups may start until both teams have arrived to race.  Check with your judge to be sure.

The race numbers will show the team which is on deck and waiting to enter the next race. They can also be gotten on the internet at http://flyballondeck.com/
